This week's main focus was about prioritising my coursework and trying to find the best places to work and feel inspired. I thoroughly enjoyed my first two sessions of Mess Work Practice, and I can't wait to see how my work evolves over the next couple of weeks!
14th of June (Friday)
- I walked over the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time and explored Cobble Hill and the local businesses around the area.
15th of June (Saturday)
- I attended an event in Soho for a jewellery brand launch and visited The Brooklyn Flea Market to check out the local businesses. Later, I enjoyed the sunset at Brooklyn Heights Park.
16th of June (Sunday)
- I spent time walking around Central Park and had lunch at my favourite bagel spot in Brooklyn Heights. I also explored the Dumbo area at sunset.
17th of June (Monday)
- I began my first session with Mess Work Practice on Zoom, where we reviewed the curriculum and got to know each other's interests and goals.
18th of June (Tuesday)
- I visited Lincoln Square and worked on some pieces for my upcoming class, and in the evening, I took my camera out for a walk to capture my neighbourhood.
19th of June (Wednesday)
- I had my second session with Mess Work Practice, focusing on our values, aligning them with business, and giving feedback on previous work and projects.
20th of June (Thursday)
- I spent time working on my course in a cafe called Frame in the Chelsea area of Manhattan and enjoyed the sunset at the Brooklyn Heights Pier. I also bought some postcards in Times Square to send to my family and friends.
